   Project partners in the second phase of the project (April 2004 - March 2005)

   In the second phase of the project NIOK is collaborating with 3 partner institutions, which take
   the task of preparing national policy paper/feasibility study and generating local communication
   dialogue regarding percentage philanthropy in their countries. NIOK provides professional 
   assistance and training for their work.

   Horizonti, The Foundation for the Third Sector, is a Georgian not-for-profit, non-political,
   non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting the development of a civil society in
   Georgia, where the Third Sector will be a necessary and sustainable component effective at 
   identifying and solving problems facing communities. Horizonti believes that the Third Sector 
   should interact cooperatively with the legislative, executive and judicial branches of government,
   with private business, with research institutions and universities, and with the media.

The Center for Philanthropy promotes philanthropy and civil society by informing, researching, networking and educating stakeholders in Ukraine since 1998. Svitlana Kuts, Director skuts@philanth.relc.com Project partners in the first phase of the project (April 2003 - March 2004) The Nonprofit Information and Training Centre (NIOK) in Hungary managed the first phase of the Percentage Philanthropy Project with two main partners: the Forum Information Centre (FIC) in Slovakia and the Non-Governmental Organisation Information and Support Centre (NISC) in Lithuania. All three organisations play a leading role in efforts to support percentage laws in their countries; NIOK previously worked with each partner on percentage law issues (see Assistance).
